About the Challenge
Our food choices have a significant impact on health, society, and the environment. Plant-based diets offer solutions to global issues such as climate change, food security, animal welfare, and public health. The Food Innovation Challenge empowers students to apply their creativity to these pressing problems while gaining insights into a fast-growing industry.
The challenge focuses on innovation using Asian indigenous ingredients, combining global impact with local relevance. Participants will develop sustainable food solutions that address global concerns and, at the same time, help to preserve local culinary traditions and support community livelihoods. Through this unique approach, students can make a tangible difference to the future of food and sustainability.
This challenge has been made possible through ProVeg’s dedicated fundraising efforts and the generous support of our donors. Our partner companies have also contributed innovative topics and valuable coaching expertise in order to guide selected finalists. This collaborative endeavor exemplifies the power of partnerships in fostering innovation and positive change.
